Civilian Courses

Gray Horse Consulting offers a growing number of training services to the community-at-large in addition to services designed for Law Enforcement professionals. Our goal is to provide knowledge that will make any student more capable, more self reliant and more confident in confronting the challenges of a rigorous life.

Defensive Handgun

Due to recent changes in Indiana state law, more citizens of the state are carrying handguns for self-defense. The decision to carry a lethal weapon, however is not something that should be entered into lightly. It carries with it a significant responsibility for the exercise of sound, rational judgement and knowledge of one's legal rights and obligations.

This course will offer an in-depth discussion of the legal and ethical fundamentals that govern defensive force as well as the more practical matters of carrying arms responsibly and safely.

This is not a marksmanship or shooting course, however it will provide the foundation of knowledge onto which skill may be added.
